The new HAAS Velox Ascent System is that latest evolution of the "Floating Knee Ascender" created by Michael Frankhauser from Ohio USA.
The Velox now incorporates double the bungee cord running through a custom machined pulley block. This gives a huge amount of range in the bungee and eliminates the need for different lengths and reduces set up time. Just clip it on and go!
The HAAS Velox is simply the best addition you can make to a modern SRT system for hands-free ascent when combined with a foot ascender and a device like the Rope Wrench, Rope Runner or Unicender.
It can also me added to most doubled rope systems and while slower than SRT it will still make life easier by moving the physical effort to the stronger leg muscles giving your upper body a well earned rest!
